When my husband and I decided to create For the Love of Dogs™, we had recently adopted a “rescued” Australian Shepherd from a wonderful group in Ohio. I witnessed first hand how giving rescue groups are, and how much of their time and personal finances these wonderful people donate to prepare these dogs for adoption. The adoption fees that are charged are often not adequate to pay the veterinary services that many rescued dogs require before they can be adopted. For some dogs these bills can go into the hundreds of dollars. People involved in rescue will often pay these bills out of their own pocket to get these dogs the care they need and deserve.

As For the Love of Dogs grows, this web site will show the dogs we have helped, and how much money has been raised. Please come back and visit us often as we continue to add items and develop this idea to further help in rescue efforts.
